This full moon, I will be doing a despacho ceremony, a traditional Andean offering to Pachamama (Mother Earth), the Apus (Mountains) and nature spirits, as a form of Ayni (sacred reciprocity) by expressing our deep gratitude for all that we receive from these realms.
It is that time again where winter is giving way to spring. This winter has been longer and colder than the last few that I have experienced here in Montana. With Vernal Equinox upon us next week, spring becomes official, hopefully opening the door to warmer weather and new growth. On sunny days, when I step outside on my back deck I hear a chorus of birds singing and I am reminded once again that spring is coming. Although, a few more days of warm sunshine are needed to melt the amazing amount of snow still in my yard.
